  • Maintains, monitors, and supports the infrastructure environment and/or facilities.
  • Coordinates and works on multiple cross-functional base work initiatives and projects.
  • Diagnoses and resolves complex hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
  • Supports multiple systems or applications of medium to high complexity (complexity defined by size, technology used, and system feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility.
  • Acts as the technical liaison between operations teams, engineers and architects, providing critical operational insight to upcoming implementations and strategies, including validation of ongoing solutions supportability.
  • Participates in short- and long-term planning efforts with stakeholders and IT groups.
  • Develops cost/time estimates.
  • Documents discussion and agreements.
  • Works with project managers to coordinate and plan project tasks and resources.
  • Works with project teams to understand business needs.
  • Works with engineers to understand technical requirements.
  • Participates in business requirements meetings as needed.
  • Communicates events to stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership.
  Secondary function:
  • To provide an excellent Service Desk support service to users locally onsite in the absence of the IT Service Desk Engineer
  • Quickly identify and resolve incidents with all of Company’s end user computing services including Desktops/Laptops, printing, phones, conferencing, mobile services, and corporate software support (email, remote access solution, Microsoft office etc.)
  • Contribute to the knowledgebase for the service – writing new articles and updating existing ones to ensure maximum resolution efficiency of incidents and changes.
  • Contribute to asset management activities including auditing, proactive resolution of audit issues, inventory management, and asset tagging to ensure update to date and accurate IT inventory status, in close coordination with the IT Service Desk Engineer.
  • Hardware support and problem resolution of desktop PC’s, laptops, mobile devices such as tablet, smartphones as well as working with IT Infrastructure Engineer in SEA and UK to support servers and network equipment in the server room.
  • Participate in problem management activities regarding the end user computing environment.
  • Processes and Work Instructions: Contribute updates and improvements to key infrastructure documentation and training material.
  • Any other duties as required for the service.
  • Required to record, log and progress user requests.

Educational requirements:

  • Degree in information systems, computer science.

Experience requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience managing the IT infrastructure within a large organisation.
  • Solid, proficient incident and problem diagnosis skills in a range of system types and applications.
  • Understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, firewalls and VPN technologies and Microsoft UAG.
  • Solid understanding and experience in managing Windows 2008, 2012 Server and Windows Exchange 2010 Server.
  • Wired and Wireless networking (Cisco).
  • Experience of supporting Apple Mac & IOS devices such as iPad, iPhone, iPod, etc
  • Understanding and hands on knowledge on any Linux variant is added advantage.
  • Working Knowledge of Active Directory and Security.
  • Prior experience of working with any Avaya telephone/voicemail systems.
  • ITIL Awareness.
  • Installing and configuring network Printers (eg HP, Xerox, etc ).
  • Understanding Antivirus Software (Symantec).
  • Exposure to Encryption Software.
  • Exposure to MS Lync.

Desired Skills:

  • Exposure to IP Phone solutions (Avaya Systems).
  • Exposure to video conferencing equipment support.
  • Exposure to SCCM.
  • Previous exposure to Microsoft Terminal Services.
  • Driven and committed individual with focus on customer service and resolution quality.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication including presenting complex IT issues in non-technical language; and communicating with users with differing levels of IT skills.
  • Problem-diagnosis skills in range of system types or applications; ability to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot problems on a variety of systems and applications.
  • Experience with the planning and execution of IT-related projects including communicating progress to all key parties.
  • Ability to work effectively with key Company hardware and software suppliers to ensure seamless service to our users.
  • Strong planning, collaboration & time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload.
  • Good verbal and written English language skills.
  • Sensitive to cultural differences across global company.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
